CSS Update
Well, I have had the designers at work (Host Communications, Lexington, Kentucky) give me some tips and tricks on CSS. The result is the FEAST and SAINT days menu on the right column.
By clicking on the link, the information will drop down. Apparently Firefox is not as nice with DOM as IE is as it works in one and not the other. I am CERTAIN it is something I am doing wrong.. I’ll have to get with the guru’s at work and get that figured out.
Next I’ll ge looking at how we do some stuff similarly at one of our sites that’s about to launch. It works in both Firefox and IE and it is similar to what I am doing, which makes me believe (shock) it is me that has it messed up.
I’m getting there…

In Need Of Psychological Evaluation
I’m convined I’m in need of psychological evaluation....
1) I don’t ever want to go to bed.
2) When I wake, I don’t want to get up.
3) My mind wanders to thoughts like…
a. Where would I go when our country got invaded
b. When I am a Prisoner Of War, will I remember the Litergy to be able to share it with my fellow prisoners?
c. If I were running from the law, where would I go and how would I get there?
I dunno. Here I sit it is 12:41 a.m. I need to be at work in seven hours, and yet, instead of sleeping I am writing this post. Most nights I stay up until I cannot possibly stay awake any longer. Then I go to bed, fall asleep, and wake up the next day (at least most of them) to my alarm clock telling me that I didn’t get enough rest and that I need to get up.
I’ve been “going to bed” for 2 hours now....”
Sigh…
g’night world.

Naughton was close, but no cigar…:)
Chris Naughton had a good idea on his web site, but I would suggest that it be made slightly better… First, the name is all wrong… it should be called
In Case of Necessity
I say this for two reasons:
1) Necessity is not necessarily an emergency - and in today’s society everything thinks their stuff is an emergency - when it is really NOT Necessary.
2) The Abbreviation is better.
ICON - and everyone needs more ICON’s in their lives. Who is an ICON for you?

Learning CSS and templating
I’ve decided to dig into this multiple templating system and see what all this is about.
This is my first “real” change to my web site from a “front end” perspective. I have added many templates and changed CSS. Hopefully I am not breaking too many things, but we will see.
One of the things that I have done, and I think I like it, is that an unvisited link is underlined, but one you have already visited is no longer underlined. I thought this would serve a couple different purposes:
1) As you learned the site, you would not need the underlining as a “clue” to what to click on
2) It would encourage viewing different parts of the site.
Hopefully, one of the things to follow is to get the resume stuff working the way I want it, to add some forms on the back-end for changing things, and some “free page” stuff on the front end.
We will see how long my energy lasts for this....

Comments:
Ick. Tweaking with link underlining is evil. Links should be colored. All major browsers support disabling link underlining. In this case, with your current site, links are difficult to find. For repeat visitors, you’ve made it difficult to find links in articles. The links in sidebars are perhaps not as big a deal, but links in the middle of text will be difficult to find.
It will be difficult to find once you have clicked on it… i.e. visited. If you have not visited it is not underlined. It has been my observation that people don’t come back to that which they have already visited… so think of it as a “what’s new” designation.
Your “Tweaking with link underlining is evil” has no substantiation. What makes them evil in your opinion?
